Paul Teng

Professor Teng is concurrently Dean, NIE International Pte. Ltd., and Adjunct Senior Fellow, Centre for Non-Traditional Security Studies, Nanyang Technological University Singapore. He is also Senior Adviser (AgriFood) to A*STAR Singapore, and Science Adviser to several startups in agrifood technology, and to two Venture funds for impact investment. Professor Paul Teng is internationally recognized for his expertise in agrifood systems and food security. He has researched and taught in North America, Africa and Asia, held leadership positions at IRRI and WorldFish, and has published fifteen books and over two hundred technical papers. Paul obtained his B.Agric. Sc (Hons) and Ph.D. from Lincoln College, University of Canterbury, NZ.  He is a Fellow of The World Academy of Sciences, ASEAN Academy of Engineering & Technology, International Society of Plant Pathology  and several other professional bodies and is recipient of the prestigious Erikkson Prize (Sweden).
