Dr. Salam works at the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC) as Member Director (Crops). He is responsible for planning, coordination, management, review, monitoring and evaluation of crop research, farming systems research and development, post harvest management of vegetable and fruits, seeds of different crops and frontier research in National Agricultural Research Systems Institutes.
He has 29 years work experience in research management, monitoring & evaluation of research and extension activities in agriculture. Practical experience in monitoring & evaluation of projects and programmes implemented through BARC and NARS Institutes. He is experienced in contract research evaluation, management, implementation and its monitoring at field level. He developed, managed and implemented various donors funded projects like World Bank, IFAD, USAID, FAO, etc.
