Dr Eram S. Rao is a Professor of Food Technology at Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences, University of Delhi and has more than 29 years of teaching and research experience. She is a member of Scientific Panel on Sweets and Confectionery, empaneled expert at Food Safety and Standards Authority of India for Content Development, Training and Capacity Building Initiatives. Has been Advisor & Technical expert with World Bank on reduction of trans fat and sodium in foods in India. Lead Expert and Sr. Nutrition consultant with European Union- on Food Safety and Nutrition Awareness Raising – A Capacity Building Initiative for Trade and Development in India. Has Trained more than 500 master trainers across India for FSSAI and EU CITD. She has a passion for writing books and have authored several bestselling textbooks on Food Science, Food Quality Evaluation, Bakery Science and Technology, Fruits and vegetable processing etc. She is the recipient of the National "Eat Right Award" by FSSAI. She is also a National level Resource Person for imparting training to Food Safety officers and Adjucating officers at FSSAI.
