Prior to her current post, Emma Fan was Director of East Asia Department's Public Management, Financial Sector, and Regional Cooperation Division. She also served as Pacific Liaison and Coordination Office Regional Director and Results Management Unit Head. She was also project team leader at the South Asia and Central and West Asia departments, and economist at the Economic Research Department. Before ADB, she worked at the Finance Department of Australia, New Zealand Institute of Economic Research and Lanzhou University in the People's Republic of China.
