Animesh Shrivastava is Lead Agriculture Economist and head of policy unit for the Agriculture and Food Practice of the East Asia and Pacific (EAP) region of the World Bank. He has wide experience of rural sector issues including agriculture strategy and policies, food and nutrition security, agribusiness and market development, and trade and competitiveness issues. Prior to joining the East Asia and Pacific region, he was Program Leader for Central Asian countries and, before that, Program Leader for India. Animesh holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Oxford.
