Abdul Ghafoor is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Farm Machinery and Power at Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, University of Agriculture Faisalabad-Pakistan. Previously, I have worked as Lecturer from July 2005 to August 2019 and promoted as Assistant Professor in August, 2019. I have obtained undergraduate (2001-2005) and master degree (2005-2007) in Agricultural Engineering from University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Pakistan. I have secured 3.98 out of 4.00 CGPA and won a SILVER MEDAL in M.Sc.(Hons) Agricultural Engineering. I have won PhD Scholarship by Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad to study at Politecnico di Torino, Italy. I have received PhD degree from Politechnico di Torino, Italy in 2013. I have published significant scholarly contributions, including nearly 50 peer-reviewed research articles (impact factor > 100; citations > 1150; h-index = 13; i10-index = 13 as of January 2024). In addition, I have published more than 50 abstracts and 05 book chapters. I have also completed 04 research projects as Principal Investigator (PI) and 15 research projects as Co-principal Investigator (Co-PI) funded by International and National funding agencies.
He also have won Research Productivity Awards in the year 2015 and 2016 awarded by Pakistan Council for Science and Technology) PCST), Islamabad-Pakistan. During the year 2017, I was ranked at 42nd position under Young Scientist (under 40 years of age) Category and 74th position in overall category in the discipline of Engineering Sciences throughout the county in the Directory of Productive Scientist of Pakistan (PSP-2017) published by Pakistan Council for Science and Technology (PCST), Islamabad-Pakistan. During the year 2016, I was ranked at 38th position under Young Scientist (under 40 years of age) Category and ranked at 71st position overall category in the discipline of Engineering Sciences throughout the county in the Directory of Productive Scientist of Pakistan (PSP-2016) published by Pakistan Council for Science and Technology (PCST), Islamabad-Pakistan. I have also worked as a conference secretary in a series of International conferences and workshops from 2013-2016. Furthermore, I have supervised 40 master students for their research work and co-supervised more than 50 master students. I have also supervised 03 PhD students and co-supervised 10 PhD students.
