Stephanie King-Chung Hung is the Chief Information Officer of the Asian Development Bank and Director General of the bank’s Information Technology Department (ITD). Stephanie is responsible for ADB's digital strategies and transformation, and its IT infrastructure, operations and talent spanning across more than 30 countries.
She has 25 years of leading and delivering technology solutions and innovation to improve the productivity and collaboration across many organizations, enable situational insights and better decision-making, and achieve optimization and process improvements. Her technology leadership at IBM, Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft, and ST Engineering involved servicing clients from a wide variety of industries which include, but not limited to, banking, financial services, and the public sector. She also founded Alitheia Partners, a private limited company providing business advisory to start ups and consultancy to enterprises and academia on business ventures, new digital business, business transformation and innovation.
As a strong advocate of mentoring and diversity inclusion, Stephanie was the Chairperson of Women@ST(link sends e-mail)Engineering, responsible for improving women representation and developing talents and women leadership across the ST Engineering group. She actively participates in various organizations such as the Cloud Security Alliance APAC Research Advisory Council (APRAC), Industry Advisory Panel (IAP) for Career Attachment Office (CAO) at the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore, and Women in Tech Chapter of Singapore Computer Society.
She was the 2020 recipient of the Singapore 100 Women in Tech (SG100WIT), besting over 1,000 nominations. She served as a member (2016-2018) of the Media Literacy Council under the Ministry of Communications and Information in Singapore where she worked on developing public awareness and education on cyber wellness and Internet and media trends and development.
She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration with High Honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in the United States where she was recognized as an Amy and Richard Wallman Scholar. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with concentration in Finance from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is a national of Singapore and fluent in both English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese).
