Michaela is a soil health and climate change specialist with the Food and Agriculture Organization's (FAO) Global Soil Partnership (GSP). She coordinates the implementation of the Recarbonization of Global Agricultural Soils (RECSOIL) initiative. The initiative helps build capacity in the country to assess soil health, monitor changes in soil organic carbon stocks, and empower and compensate farmers for adopting sustainable soil management practices. Michaela brings experience in soil carbon monitoring, reporting and verification, sustainable soil management, implementation of sustainable agricultural practices, and stakeholder engagement across the agrifood system.
