Michael Ardieta has been with the company for 29 years and started as Technical Sales Representative in September 1995. He has handled several key positions in the company as Urea Trade Manager, Regional Sales Manager for Special grades, Product Director, General Manager, and Country Manager of Yara Philippines with 35 full time employees.
At Yara, Michael is leading the team to attain its objective in line with YAA’s strategic pillars linked to Yara’s mission and ambition to responsibly feed the world work, while protecting the planet for a nature-positive food future. In line with this, together with the team, he is working on new business models with the objective of helping small hold farmers improve their yield, productivity and income in a sustainable way with Yara’s crop nutrition solutions through an outcome-based model approach.
Michael was born and raised in Los Baños, Laguna. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture major in Horticulture from the University of the Philippines Los Baños. He is married to Maria Lourdes Ardieta and blessed with two lovely daughters, Schamille Colleen and Ysahbel.
